Painting the Atmosphere of Sichuan

Shufeng's landscape language begins with close observation of mountain mist, moving water, old paths, village roofs, and the changing seasonal colour of Sichuan.

Each composition is developed in the studio by hand. The aim is not mechanical repetition, but a quiet balance between the physical depth of oil pigment and the open atmosphere of Chinese landscape painting.
